The short version

Focusshh is a calm place to focus and wind down. We keep the minimum needed to give you an account, your tasks and rooms with friends. We don't sell data, don't show ads, don't run analytics or crash-reporting tools, and don't track your sleep. You can delete everything from inside the app.

What we collect

  • Your account. When you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile photo address and a user ID. As a guest: a user ID only.
  • What you add. Tasks and their lengths, your weekly goal, focus minutes and streak, a reminder time, an exam date, the names of private rooms you create, and which rooms you are in.
  • Public activity lines. When you do something in a public place (for example light a candle), a line such as "Nova at The Observatory lit a candle" appears in a feed other users see. It uses a room nickname, never your name, and never anything you typed. Nothing from private rooms goes there.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, microphone, health or fitness data, or advertising ID. "Put the day down" notes in the Lullaby Loft never leave your phone and are forgotten when you close them.

Where it is stored

Your account and data are stored with Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which processes it for us, [FIRESTORE LOCATION, e.g. "in the European Union"]. Room choices, sound mixes, your consent and a copy of your reminder time are stored only on your phone. Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Who can see what

  • Your profile, email and tasks: only you.
  • A private room: its members. The person who hosts it can see who has joined.
  • Public activity lines: anyone signed in to Focusshh.
  • We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete your data, it is removed from our database straight away.

Deleting your data

In the app: Profile → Delete my data. This deletes your profile, tasks, room memberships, the private rooms you host (they close for their members too), your invites, your sign-in account and everything the app saved on your phone. You can also ask at https://focusshh.com/delete-account or by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL].

Children

Focusshh is for people aged 13 and over, and asks you to confirm this before you sign in. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used Focusshh, contact us and we will delete the account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the UK or EU GDPR, or US state laws), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to complain to a regulator [REGULATOR, e.g. the UK ICO]. Notifications and permissions

Notifications are used only for your daily reminder and while the Lullaby Loft plays with the screen off. You can turn them off in Android settings.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, ask you again in the app.
